Offer in

|
When you
run a Google or Yahoo or any other
search on the search term "offer in
compromise" at any time, your results
will show about 75% of the first 20
listings (the first two pages of search
results) being not OIC providers, but
strictly informational or purely
governmental sites. These are not bad
sites; however, for someone who is
searching for professional help and not
just raw information, these sites
provide no benefit at all when it comes
to finding professional help:
www.irs.gov www.taxprophet.com
www.nolo.com www.unclefed.com
law.gsu.edu taxes.about.com
law.freeadvice.com
www.lawyers.com www.wwwebtax.com

www.sba.gov www.state.de.us

Then there
are the paid
advertisers. Just because they pay for a
good position on your monitor doesn't
mean they provide better service than
their competitors, does it?
Or does it?

So Many Offer
in Compromise Firms!
Offer in Compromise
Providers/Advertisers doing nothing but
simply promoting
themselves as Offer in Compromise
professionals, whether small or large,
does nothing for a firm or individual to
initially win the confidence of
taxpayers struggling to find
professional help in an area of
expertise avoided by most attorneys,
CPAs, and Enrolled Agents.
If you want Offer
in Compromise help - good, solid,
knowledgeable, experienced, respected -
where do you turn? There are over 50
firms jockeying for position for your
OIC dollars.
Welcome to the only site
where you can view their OIC credentials
side by side and face to face and decide
for yourself who to contact.

The Internet
Makes OIC Firms Equal.
Or Does It?
The Internet has leveled
the playing field when it comes to
advertising and promoting a specialized
service like Offer in Compromise
negotiations.
Everyone gets instant and national
exposure on the Internet. From the
national firm with offices from coast to
coast to the small-town rent-a-cubicle
desk jockey who actually may be very
good at it.
Professionally
designed websites and office help that
goes three layers deep before you can
even talk to the person who handles your
offer don't reveal the underlying
ability and knowledge of the person with
the pencil and the calculator and the
telephone.
So what do you do?

Read Us First!
We will contrast and
compare the major advertisers for the
term "offer in compromise" and provide
the results for you in an unbiased
manner.
In a pure auction
setting where the highest bidder gets
the Number 1 Position on Yahoo's results
page, how many advertisers' web sites
will you visit and how many will you
call before you pick one to represent
you?
Even Google gives
heavy consideration to high-dollar
bidders for its paid advertiser
listings. Is a national firm with an
high advertising budget really better
than an independent professional who has
more experience and knowledge but fewer
advertising dollars?
In a tax matter that
can concern from $10,000 to several
hundred thousand dollars (or more) of
your possible tax debt, how do you
determine who will possibly hold your
financial future in his or her hand?
Will you get tired and choose one before
you have educated yourself on who the
best candidates are?
This is the place
to save time and still visit all the
Major OIC Players.
We link to each and every one of
them.

Why? It's simple. they get very little business
if they don't advertise. Read the left-hand
column and you'll discover that they find it
extremely difficult to compete with the numerous
gigantic governmental and other informational
sites for position in the normal listings on the
major search engines.

A Few Dirty OIC
Statistics
For the fiscal year
ended 09/30/03, IRS received 127,769 new offers,
up from 124,033 the prior year. They accepted
21,570 (17%) offers, down about 25% from
29,140 the prior year. Of those it processed,
IRS rejected 27,336 offers (21%), which is 61%
more than the 16,952 rejected the year
before. The others were “not processible”
because necessary information wasn't provided or
the taxpayer withdrew the offer.
For fiscal 2004, 106,025 offers were received
with 19,546 (18.5%) accepted. Those accepted
paid off $1.8 billion in liability for $275.3
million – an average of 15.3 cents on the
dollar.
So,
like Dirty Harry said, "Do you feel lucky,
punk?"
Well, do you? |
